
During various operations carried out in Mexico City and the State of Mexico, a large number of bars were closed without incidents as part of an effort to ensure compliance with regulations in these establishments.
In Mexico City, in addition to the mentioned neighborhoods, the operations were also conducted in the boroughs of Cuauhtémoc, Venustiano Carranza, Iztapalapa, Tlalpan, and Milpa Alta, in order to cover more areas and ensure that the establishments meet the necessary requirements.
The 'The Night Belongs to Everyone' program in Mexico City is similar to the 'Atarraya' operation conducted in the State of Mexico to close bars, totaling 817 establishments shut down by March 15. Barber shops have also been included in this action due to their relation to violent incidents.
During the weekend, businesses were closed in Tultitlán, Ixtapaluca, and Tlalnepantla, some of which were involved in violent acts with firearms. Authorities noted that these places were used by criminal groups for illicit activities or were related to violent events.
In the State of Mexico, the 'Atarraya' operation has closed 216 businesses whose owners have not appeared before authorities to clarify the allegations against them. According to the Edomex Prosecutor's Office, various crimes such as homicides, kidnappings, and disappearances were committed in these businesses.
During the operations in Mexico City, 49 bars were suspended for various irregularities, such as illegal alcohol sales, disturbances of public order, and sales to minors. Seven premises were also closed, and one person was taken to the Public Ministry for violating the closure seals on their establishment.
These actions are part of the 'The Night Belongs to Everyone' program and have been carried out by the Government Secretariat of Mexico City, the Administrative Verification Institute, and the Citizen Security Secretariat. The operations were conducted in various neighborhoods of different boroughs, with the aim of ensuring safety and compliance with regulations in the city's establishments.
